About Me

Hi, I'm Jingyi Wang. I joined Tsinghua Laboratory of Brain and Intelligence (THBI) in June 2024 in Prof. Wang's Auditory Cognition Lab. Cirrently I am research engineer for music and brain research, and provide technoogy suport for device mnagement and data analsis. I got my Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Digital Media Technology from the School of Advanced Technology at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in 2023. What kind of activity occurs in our brains when we perform or appreciate music, and what patterns does this reveal about brain function? My research work contributes to answering these questions, including data analysis of brain activity and physiological signals in live concert halls, modification and debugging of data acquisition instruments, and virtual reality concert halls.

Before joining THBI, I participated in research on hardware and algorithms for brain-like computing based on synaptic transistors, embedded artificial intelligence, robotics, computer vision, autonomous driving, digital twins and virtual reality, the Internet of Things, and computational social science. I also have experience in science and technology education and public welfare education.

I have a curiosity and desire to explore various disciplines, including information technology, sociology, anthropology, education, economics, psychology and cognitive science, and politics. I enjoy thinking about and discussing diverse, imaginative questions, such as the similarities and differences between neuronal activity in the brain and individual activities in human society, the potential for general artificial intelligence, and how technology can be human-centered and reduce inequality. In my spare time, I love to travel, observing different societies, cities, rural areas, and cultures, hoping to "see the real world."
