The Auditory Cognition Center has two soundproof chambers, which can isolate external noise and are suitable for conducting various auditory experiments. Hardware equipment includes :(1) two TDT-RZ6 multi-channel processors, which can carry out low latency auditory stimulus generation and signal acquisition at the microsecond level. (2) A Brain Products 64-channel scalp electroencephalogram amplification recorder, which can collect scalp electroencephalogram signals. (3) A GSI audiostar pro audiometer for clinical grade hearing testing.
At present, the center focuses on neural mechanisms of auditory cognition, including sound harmonic perception, music perception, speech decoding, etc. By combining EEG experiment with psychophysical experiment, we will explore the brain activity process of human higher auditory cognition.
